Dr. David Bussan
Dr. David Bussan started his career with Town & Country Animal Hospital in 1969 after doing undergraduate work and graduating from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and a lifetime member of ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association). Dr. Bussan grew up on a farm in Galena, Illinois where he was a member of the local 4-H and FFA clubs. He currently resides in Normal with his two cats. In his free time he enjoys farming and gardening.

Dr. Ronald Goeckner
Since 1975, Dr. Ron Goeckner has been a veterinarian at Town & Country Animal Hospital. He grew up in Effingham, Illinois. In 1971 he graduated from Eastern Illinois University majoring in zoology and then went on to receive his D.V.M. from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. He is an active member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association). His greatest interest in the animal field is general medicine because of the vast variety. He now resides in Normal with his wife, two cats, Misty May and Precious Chloe and his dog, Bella . He enjoys exploring foreign countries, hosting foreign exchange students, and fixing things in his spare time.
Dr. Melissa Alexander
Dr. Melissa Alexander grew up in Lincoln, Illinois. She received her D.V.M. in 1995 from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of AVMA (American Veterinary medical Association), ISVMA (Illinois Veterinary Medical Association) and AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners). She enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, cooking & reading. She has 2 cats, Jackson and Tiger Lily.
Dr. Matt Bussan
Dr. Matt Bussan joined the Town & Country staff in 1990. In 2000 he received his B.S. in Chemistry from Illinois State University and then in 2004 graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine with his D.V.M. and is now on staff as a veterinarian. Dr. Bussan is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association). In his free time he enjoys helping at church, playing and watching sports, reading, bike riding, traveling, and other outdoor activities with his wife Leila and daughters Trinity, Felicity & Grace. He has a Bichon named Sophie and a Brittany Spaniel, Duke.
Dr. Jamie Schertz
Before joining the Town & Country family, Dr. Schertz received her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and then worked at a mixed animal practice. She is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and ISVMA (Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association). Dr. Schertz grew up in Northern Illinois but is currently living in Central Illinois with her husband and children. When not busy working or taking care of her family she enjoys horseback riding, swimming, reading, and scrapbooking.
Dr. Maja Vito
Dr. Vito started working at Town and Country Animal Hospital in October 1999 when she moved to Normal, IL from Hawaii. She has lived here with her husband and sons and a variety of cats. Dr. Vito gives out treats during exams to keep stress to a minimum. She is passionate about caring for cats and dogs and working with their owners to ensure pets’ health and happiness. One of her favorite aspects of the job is soft tissue surgery. She loves knowing a surgical procedure, such as a spay or neuter, will help a pet stay in their home for a long and happy life.
Dr. Vito has a Bachelors of Science in Genetics from UC Davis, She worked as a molecular biologist for The Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, CA and at the Whitehead Research Institute in Cambridge, MA prior to obtaining her DVM from North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Since 1995, she has worked in general veterinary practice and as a shelter veterinarian.
Dr. Andrew Lindgren
Dr. Andrew joined Town & Country in 2019. He is a central Illinois native, growing up in the country outside of McLean. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a minor in chemistry. He received his D.V.M. from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine and moved back to be closer to family. His special interests in practice are surgery, dentistry, dermatology and senior pet care. Dr. Lindgren take a lot of pride in having the responsibility of taking care of what means so much to so many, their pets, and feels privileged to do so. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing and running outdoors with his Australian Shepherd, Ember.

Tammi Rich- Office Manager
Tammi started at Town & Country in 2006 as a receptionist. What she loves most about her job is working with the clients & their pets. When not working she enjoys spending time with her children, Dalton & Sydney and hanging out with friends. She has two cats, Selena and Olive and a Bearded Dragon, John.
Jean- Certified Veterinary Technician & Inventory Manager
Jean received her Applied Associates Degree in Animal Health Technology from Colorado Mountain College, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, in 1975 and in has been (in her words) "Happily practicing as a Certified Veterinary Technician ever since." She has been with Town & Country since 1983 and became Inventory Manager in 1998. She loves any activity involving the outdoors especially hiking, biking, horseback riding and gardening. Her "furry" family consists of her 2 dogs Flynn & Karma and three cats; Special Ed, Stella and Sugar Plum Fairy.

Bailey- Head Certified Veterinary Technician
Bailey has been the Head Technician at Town & Country since the Spring of 2007. She started her career with animals at the age of 15 working in the kennels, then worked a short period as a receptionist. In 2006 she graduated from Parkland Community College as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, son, 2 dogs and multiple cats. She's rarely without a fuzzy critter by her side.

Kathy-Groomer
Kathy has been with Town & Country for over 16 years grooming your dogs and cats. Kathy can personalize your pet to fit your needs. Before coming to Illinois, in one way or another, Kathy has been associated with dogs in grooming, boarding, obedience and confirmation classes. Since 1986 in her spare time she has breed and shown Standard Schnauzer and in 1997 had the #1 Standard Schnauzer in the country.
Cathie - Data Entry Supervisor
Cathie has been working at Town & Country since 1995. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Illinois State University in 1998. She shares her home with her husband and 3 cats, Mr. Josh, Dr. Boogie & Mr. Jack. In her free time Cathie enjoys photography, exploring nature, listening to music and watching her husband play in his bands.
